Please help! How can I get a new code for the sims 2 (for PC)???? - the americans activation code

Sims 2 (read the details of the question)?
I have my registration code for The Sims 2 for PC. Can we in Scotland (do not think that would be a code of the United States in the Scottish version of the game works), please help. Can someone please:
1) Provide a copy of your activation code
or
2) Tell me how do I get a new code, if possible.
